How does the Chiropractor work?
Chiropractic CareChiropractic places an emphasis on nutrition and exercise, wellness and healthy lifestyle modifications. Chiropractic is a health care discipline based on the scientific premise that the body is a self-regulating, self-healing organism. These important functions are controlled by the brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves of the body. “Chiropractic” comes from the Greek word Chiropraktikos, meaning “done by hand.”
The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine, and pelvis) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. |
What to expect
You should feel a difference after your first visit. We use Australian heat wheat physio packs to warm up the area to be treated. Then we will further prepare the area to be treated with a special deep tissue massage. This preparation ensures a better result from the adjustment. Malcolm will then diagnose the problem and treat you accordingly. That treatment may require an adjustment, or possibly ultrasound or magna pulse therapy, both of which is done on the premise at no extra cost to you -- whatever it takes to heal you. The whole process takes a little longer than most practitioners (about 30 mins usually), but because of our commitment to our patients we spend a bit more time.
Our Method

Your first visit could be your last
Don’t get worried. We mean that in a good way. We want you to be healed as quickly as possible. We don’t try to sell treatment plans, or binding contacts that get you coming back again and again with very little results. We simple don’t work that way. It’s a matter of integrity. Our first priority is fixing your problem and giving you the knowledge you need for a full and lasting recovery.
It could be a pain in the neck, shoulders, lower back, hip, legs, knees, ankle, or a number of other places. It could be muscle, tendon, ligament or bone damage. The reasons for body aches and pains are varied and endless. Whatever the reason is, it wont be fixed by popping a few Panadol. That will only mask the problem, if you're lucky.
Whatever the problem is, we’ll find out. We want to help. We have a passion for helping people live happier, healthier lives. But it’s not just good intentions that gives Malcolm Hampson the reputation of a gifted healer. After 30 years of experience (almost 20 of those on the Gold Coast) Malcolm continues to research the latest in ‘body mechanics’ to ensure that our patients are truly healed from the internal imbalance manifested as pain.
Sometimes the solution is simple, requiring a minor adjustment and some good advice. Sometimes a few visits may be necessary to correct the imbalance.
